@nick Several of the comments and threads told you this only started with the latest update to WordPress… confused as to why it took you almost a week to read our comments and figure that out… 🤔

November 17, 2024 at 6:58 am in reply to: 7/10 Featured images squashed in Chrome, ok in other browsers. #75994This is not a backend issue – it is a theme issue, and I’m having the same problem.
Also, the Customize menu is a mess! See: https://imgur.com/a/LPSwShn
Stop asking for backend access when it’s a theme issue for multiple site owners.
You need to update the theme again, as it’s totally messed up in WP6.7.
Now my logo is also not showing…
Also, I have done a domain migration, so the login credentials I sent privately should still work on the new domain WP Admin section.
Any luck here?
This reply has been marked as private. It is literally every page on my site, but here’s a recent one: https://www.valisemag.com/pack-alaska-winter/
Now, if you open that photo in its own tab, it’s 1024×683
If you go to my homepage and look for the same post, and inspect to find that featured image size, it’s 1140×760. I have no setting that’s causing this, but it means that none of my articles will show up in Google Discover since the minimum image size is 1200×800, which is the size I upload the featured image at.
I can’t figure out how to turn off this resizing of the featured image so that it will show up at 1200×800 like I want it to.
Is there no support for this theme anymore?
Yeah, I know that. But why is it cropping images of the same size to different dimensions in the slider?
I’m not sure that’s the issue – it’s older posts that are not cropping correctly, and newer posts which are being cropped. Why would newer images be cropped? Why is the slider cropping anything at all? If you go to the homepage, then click from the slider, the featured image is not cropped…
