Hi there,
I wanted to update the info in my “Ashe:author” widget but the new text wouldn’t save/show. Then, I tried deleting the widget and adding it again with the new info – it doesn’t appear on the site. I tried adding it with the “Customize” option, as well as from “Dashboard / Appearance / Widgets “. I click on Publish/ Update and it saves, then never shows on the site. When I come back to the Widgets panel, it’s not there, like it’s never been added and saved.
Secondly, I can’t get my Instagram feed showing, either. I’ve connected my Instagram account but an error message “No feed found” keeps showing.
My site is https://zashtotomojem.com/
Thanks.
December 8, 2025 at 10:49 pm #77535Hi again! Still no answer to my issue? My widgets are not appearing. I’m adding them and they are not appearing. I used to have the Author widget and when I wanted to update it, it wouldn’t update. Then, I deleted it and tried to add it again – it never shows.
Also, the Instagram widget is not working. It keeps saying No feed found, although I’ve connected my Instagram account.
Can I get any help?

We have successfully logged into your website and placed the requested widgets for testing. We confirm that the **Ashe Author Widget** is working exactly as expected.
You can view the proof in the screenshots we captured:

If you were expecting to see something else, or if we are missing any specific part of your original query, please let us know! Otherwise, all widgets appear to be fully functional.

December 10, 2025 at 1:21 am #77545Here is the error message I get when I want to use the “Instagram feed” option, not the code:
The Ashe author widget now worked. Is it possible that it wasn’t saving because I had emojis in the text? I just remembered that blog posts aren’t saving, either, if I use emojis inside.
Also, is it possible to click and expand pictures in Gallery? https://prnt.sc/tS1WTIbKwwpE
They look good on desctop but smaller on mobile so I would like to make them clickable so the picture expands and then shrinks back.
December 10, 2025 at 11:16 pm #77549Hello!
Thank you for reaching out to us and for providing the context.
The error you are seeing (**”Error: No feed found”**) when using the standard WordPress **Instagram Feed Widget** is happening because this widget is not compatible with the way your existing plugin, **Smash Balloon Instagram Feed**, is designed to work.
Your Smash Balloon feed is already connected and working correctly, but it uses **Shortcodes** to display content, not that specific widget area.
To fix this immediately, please follow these steps:
1. **Ignore the Broken Widget:** Please remove the default “Instagram Feed” widget from your widget area.
2. **Use the Shortcode Widget:** Add the standard WordPress **”Custom HTML”** widget (or a **”Shortcode”** widget) to your sidebar or footer where you want the feed to display.
3. **Insert the Shortcode:** In the content area of the Custom HTML widget, paste the shortcode generated by your Smash Balloon plugin. This shortcode typically looks like this:
[instagram-feed]By using the shortcode, you bypass the conflicting widget, and your working feed will display correctly.
If you have any trouble finding or placing the shortcode, please let us know!
Kind Regards
