Hi all. I’ve been re-themeing a clone of my site for the last week or so using Ashe Pro, with Elementor and a couple of its addons. The number of weird things going on this week is making me crazy and I am not a techy person in this area at all.
The first issue was all of a sudden when saving pages, some wouldn’t save and gave a server error message. Asked the hosting co and they said it was likely a cacheing/memory thing. They did stuff on their end and I installed wp-sweep and LiteSpeed – neither solved the issue. Still happens on random pages.
Next thing, a couple of days later, the whole shebang went – got a ‘this site has a critical error’. Hosting co checked for plugin conflicts and identified 2 plugins that seemed to get it back after deactivation – but it’s still not saving all pages.
Then I found I was no longer able to use the Quick Edit – the drop down doesn’t drop down. Deactivated/reactivated each plugin with no success.
Working away today and all of a sudden no Pages list. Again deactivate/activate etc. etc. and it’s Elementor breaking it, but also previous plugins thought to cause the first issue aren’t causing it anymore, then randomly LiteSpeed breaks the pages list then doesn’t – several others, including Akismet Pro do the same – the list disappears and doesn’t reappear when the plugin is deactivated, but then it’s fine the next reactivation. Just so random!
I did a troubleshoot mode, switched to a default theme – no difference, which may mean it’s not an Ashe thing but I’m asking everyone for help.
All along I’m clearing my browser cache – even rebooting.
Anyone have any idea what’s going on??!!
