I have the Ashe Pro theme but I want to add a child theme in order to do some customizations. But when I activate the child theme (containing only style.css and functions.php) I lose some content on the same like the content in the featured slider and headers images.
Can’t I activate a child theme without losing the content I have already set up in the main ashe pro theme settings?
Hi Par,
At first, thank you for choosing our theme and service.
In order to assist we need to check your website from the back end, please install this 3rd party plugin “Temporary Login Without Password Plugin” which allows us to access your dashboard without sharing access details.
To better understand how the plugin works, please watch the video guide below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMu0e78OpJo

Hi Par,
We checked your shared website, and we activated temporarily the child theme Ashe pro-child, unfortunately, we can’t spot the lost content as we are not familiar with the data you have on the website, can you please show us the content you are losing? It will help us to faster indicate the source for the issue.
Kind Regards
Hi Par,
The content is back again the reason for the issue was custom slider options, WordPress identified the child theme as a new theme and erased data in the slider section you had. Now everything is fixed, please check and let us know if you need any further assistance.
Kind Regards
