where to put Analytics code

hi

if to put Google Analytics or FB Pixel in both cases it asks to add code to <HEAD>

can you please guide in which .php file it should be added in this thene? and can it be overwritten by new updates of the theme?

Actually the best experience is to add this kind of custom code using 3rd party plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-headers-and-footers/
