    Hi!

I wanted to ask. I’ve been trying to speed up my website to make the expreience better for my visitors. Thus, I used an optimizer plug in that was recommended by my hosting service (SG Optimizer since the host is Siteground) and did all the things that had to be done.

Even so, my scrore test in Page Speed kept being low (10 on mobile and 45 on PC) that’s why I reach them to see if I configured the plug in in a bad way or something. The did an inspection and told me this:

“<span style=”color: #32373c; font-family: ‘Open Sans’, sans-serif; font-size: 14.4px;”>The SGO is working fine as well as the full page caching on CF. The dom content loads in around 200ms which is great. However, your theme is super heavy and has a load in the beginning on top of everything. I would recommend getting in touch with a dev / des or cosndier a better theme since it’s the content’s fault, not the delivery in your case.”</span>

I already took off the load in the beginning and it did help but not that much. So, now I’m reaching to Bard to see if you could help me with some tips to improve the theme (and so the speed) and keep it on my page, since I really like it and wouldn’t like to take it off.

    Hi Caro,

We checked your website URL with the Google Page Speed Insights, the tool also shows to the user what they should improve to get a faster website, please visit this link and open report tubs: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.obsidiana-blog.com&tab=mobile

Here is the screenshot for more clarification: https://nimb.ws/VHBxQX

Website speed depends on several factors, first, is your server/hosting its speed and quality, after that is images, it’s too important to optimize your uploaded images for the web, of course, 3rd party plugins installed, extra scrips used.

    Kind Regards
