    Hi,

Since I purchased the pro version of Ashe, my website loads too slowly; my Speed Index is between 7 and 12 seconds! Before that, everything was fine for years with the free version…

I recently installed the W3 Total Cache plugin, but nothing changed.

What should I do? Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

Based on the PageSpeed Insights report, we can clearly see that the performance issues are not caused by the Ashe Pro theme itself, but rather by other factors such as render-blocking resources, unused JavaScript/CSS, fonts, images, and third-party scripts.

Ashe Pro does not add heavy scripts compared to the free version, and when used on a clean setup it performs similarly. The slowdown usually appears when additional plugins, ads, analytics, or large images are introduced or enabled.

To improve performance, we recommend properly configuring a caching plugin (such as W3 Total Cache), optimizing and compressing images, enabling lazy loading for images and iframes, and minimizing unused CSS/JS. Also, review and disable any plugins or features you are not actively using.

These steps typically result in a significant improvement in Speed Index and overall loading time.

    Kind regards

    Hi Vako,

Thank you for your detailed response.

I would like to clarify two things:

1/ I had already installed Total Cache.

2/ Since I disabled Ashe Pro, my Speed Index has dropped to 0.5 ms for rendering on desktop computers and 1.7 ms for mobile devices.

I don’t think this is a coincidence, I simply changed themes.

    Hi Loic,

In order to assist we need to check your website from the back end, please install this 3rd party plugin “Temporary Login Without Password Plugin” which allows us to access your dashboard without sharing access details.

To better understand how the plugin works, please watch the video guide below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMu0e78OpJo

    Hi Vako,

Thank you for your help, but since I changed themes, all my scores are at 100% on PageSpeed Insights.

I’m afraid it would take too much time to re-optimize everything by switching back to the Ashe Pro theme. I think I’ll just give up.
