Once I install and use a plugin for a custom menu, it calls the menu twice in the header for some reason. Essentially creating a duplicate below the original. It also causes the Bard Theme mobile menu not to work. The plugin is disabled for mobile.
I am using the WP Mega Menu Plugin and are speaking with them regarding the issue as well.

I have done testing and found that the plugin works correctly using a different theme. I have searched, to the best of my knowledge, all the .php files where the menu functions are called and are unable to find a solution. I have tried disabling via CSS etc, but it removes all the menu calls or works on desktop but not mobile.
Any advice or recommendations on this would be greatly appreciated.

At first, thank you for your response and for choosing our theme.
We had already replied you via email, please share the direct link to the plugin on the wp.org and we will test the same plugin on our end.

March 30, 2020 at 4:52 am #47639Hi Vako,
It seems like the menu issue is on a larger scale.
I disabled all plugins and the Bard Theme and the main menu search doesn’t work and the whole menu doesn’t work on mobile. I then switched to Ashe Theme and tested it and it worked. I enabled all the plugins I use, excluding the custom menu plugin, and tested it again. The menu works as it should in Ashe but doesn’t work in Bard.
I rolled back to an older version of Bard, the issue persists. Updated Bard again and the menu still doesn’t work.

I also emailed you a temporary login.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem. On top, all the links from my main menu bar are followed twice in google which decreases my seo score.

Have you already found a solution to the problem?

We spent more than days investigating the issue, finally, our tech support responded that the same menu wraps are added after activating your mentioned plugin, so it’s not a theme related issue, please contact the plugin support team and ask them to check for the issue.
Kind Regards
