    Hello,

I’m using Ashe Pro and would like to keep certain posts pinned at the top of specific category archive pages (not only on the main blog page).
I have tried using WordPress sticky posts as well as plugins such as “Category Sticky Post”, but it seems that Ashe Pro’s category/archive templates do not respect sticky posts or plugin-based sticky logic. The posts continue to appear in the default chronological order.

    My question:
Does Ashe Pro support category-level sticky posts, or is there a way to enable this behavior?

    More specifically:

Is there a setting or option in Ashe Pro that controls sticky post behavior on category archives?

Does the theme use a custom WP_Query that sets ignore_sticky_posts to true?

Can you provide a recommended code snippet or modification that allows certain posts (e.g., tagged “featured”) to be displayed at the top of their category archive?

This functionality would be extremely helpful for highlighting important or pillar content within each category.

Thank you in advance for your support!

    Hi,

At first, thank you for choosing our theme and service.

To provide you with the most accurate assistance, could you please describe the issue you’re facing in more detail? Additionally, sharing a direct link to the page where the problem appears would be immensely helpful. If possible, providing screenshots of the issue will give us a clearer understanding and allow for more targeted support.

Once we have this information, we’ll be better equipped to identify the issue and provide a solution.

    Kind Regards

    Hi,
    thank you for your reply.

Here is a more detailed explanation of the issue:

I would like to pin (highlight) specific posts at the top of their category archive pages.
WordPress “Sticky Posts” only affect the main blog page, not category archives.
I also tried plugins such as “Category Sticky Post”, but the posts still appear in normal chronological order in the category view.

    So my question is:

Does Ashe Pro support keeping selected posts at the top of category archive pages

Or is the theme using a custom query that ignores sticky posts or similar functionality?

Here is an example category where I would like to pin important posts (top <span style=”font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;”>attractions)</span> at the top:

    https://www.city-sightseeing.info/europa/italien/rom-sehenswuerdigkeiten/

Example of what I want to achieve:

    • Show my “Top Articles” first
    • Show all other posts from the same category below

If helpful, I can also provide screenshots.
Thank you and looking forward to your guidance.

    Kind regards,
    Robert

    Hi Robert,

Sorry for the late reply, and thank you for the detailed explanation.

Ashe Pro does **not** support pinning or sticking posts at the top of individual **category archive pages**. The theme follows the default WordPress query for category archives and does not include functionality to override post order or keep selected posts permanently at the top of a category.

WordPress “Sticky Posts” apply only to the main blog page, and Ashe Pro does not add custom logic to extend this behaviour to category pages. Because of this, the theme is not ignoring sticky posts — the feature simply does not exist at the theme level for category archives.

To achieve the behaviour you described (showing “Top Articles” first within a specific category), you would need to use a **third-party plugin** that modifies category queries or creates custom category layouts.

Unfortunately, this cannot be handled through Ashe Pro theme settings.

    Kind regards
