Image suddenly not showing on the page. It shows in edit mode but does not show up on active page.
Also the site is loading incredibly slow.
Hello Sheri Dozier,
I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your website. Let’s address each problem one by one:
1. Image Not Showing: If the image is not displaying on the active page, but it shows in the edit mode, there might be a few reasons for this. Please check the following:
a. Make sure the image file is accessible and hasn’t been deleted or moved.
b. Check if there are any conflicting plugins or custom code that might be affecting the image display.
c. Clear your browser cache and check if the image appears.
d. Try viewing the website on different devices or browsers to see if the issue persists.
2. Slow Loading: Slow loading can be caused by various factors. Here are some steps to improve your website’s performance:
a. Optimize images: Compress and resize images to reduce their file size without compromising quality.
b. Use caching: Install a caching plugin like WP Super Cache or W3 Total Cache to improve page loading speed.
c. Minimize plugins: Deactivate unnecessary plugins, as they can slow down your site.
d. Optimize code: Minimize CSS and JavaScript files, and consider using a content delivery network (CDN).
e. Check hosting: Verify if your hosting provider is experiencing any issues or consider upgrading your hosting plan.
I recommend starting with these steps and checking if the issues persist. If you need further assistance or have more questions, please let me know, and I’ll be glad to help.
Kind Regards
