Can you tell me why the thumbnails come out so blurry on the featured slider?
I’ve tried jpgs, pngs, big images, images sized exactly the same size as the thumbnails, and lots of other things, but no matter matter what they come out blurry.
June 14, 2022 at 6:20 pm #68995Hi Les,
At first, thank you for choosing our theme and service.
In order to assist we need to check your website from the back end, please install this 3rd party plugin “Temporary Login Without Password Plugin” which allows us to access your dashboard without sharing access details.
To better understand how the plugin works, please watch the video guide below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMu0e78OpJo

Settings for the featured slider were a mess, we corrected them, please check now and let us know if you need any further assistance.

June 15, 2022 at 5:25 pm #68998Thank you for that. That looks great!
Now if I wanted to make those a fraction of the size (like genuine thumbnails only about 400 pixels tall) what do I change?
I was experimenting with all the settings, which is why it was such a mess. It’d be good to have a reset back to the defaults.
June 15, 2022 at 6:59 pm #69000Hi Les,
At this moment all the settings with the slider are set to default, expert the image size, you need to enter your preferred dimensions here: https://nimb.ws/yEgfjX after that you need to rebuild images using the Ajax thumbnail rebuild plugin which is already installed on your website, please check the screenshot: https://nimb.ws/njr24P

June 16, 2022 at 11:00 am #69001I’ve done that, but the images remain the same size and become blurry again.
June 16, 2022 at 1:04 pm #69002Hi Les,
We checked your website again and the images look great, can you please share the screenshots of the issue on your end?
Kind Regards
June 16, 2022 at 5:37 pm #69004This is just what I can capture of the screen on my laptop:
I’ve changed the settings to 500 (length) x 325 (width), and rebuilt the thumbnails. But they’re still coming out huge.
June 16, 2022 at 6:12 pm #69005Hi Les,
I will redirect this topic to the developer’s board and they will contact you.

I haven’t heard anything.

We’ve checked your website and this is how it looks – https://imgur.com/nUALO78 we don’t see any blurry images here. Also, the image link for “blurry images” you’ve provided before is broken so please capture it again and send us.
The thing is that your image orientation is vertical and if you want them to be smaller in height you should add 1 more column to your slider. The height is calculated regarding the width.
Kind Regards
