Hi,
Until yesterday, I used the “FSM Custom Featured Image Caption” plugin to display a featured image with a description in each post. This plugin hasn’t been updated and is causing issues now with displaying the featured image. Is it possible to implement the ability to insert a custom featured image with a caption in the Ashe Pro theme? I have attached a screenshot of the “Edit” mode of one of my articles on my site with the “FSM” plugin.Regards
Domenico

April 25, 2026 at 2:39 am #77796Hi Domenico,
Thank you for reaching out.
The functionality you’re referring to is provided by the “FSM Custom Featured Image Caption” plugin, so any issues with displaying the featured image would be related to the plugin itself rather than the theme. Since the plugin is no longer being updated, compatibility issues can indeed arise.
At the moment, Ashe Pro does not include a built-in option to add custom captions specifically to featured images in the same way.
That said, this is a valid use case, and I will forward your request to our development team as a feature suggestion for future consideration.
In the meantime, you may want to look for an alternative, actively maintained plugin that offers similar functionality.
If you need help finding a suitable workaround, feel free to let us know.
Kind regards

Thank you for the update and the additional details.
Regarding the display issue, since the featured image is handled through the “FSM Custom Featured Image Caption” plugin, the behavior you’re seeing (including the difference between Chrome and Firefox) is most likely related to the plugin rather than the theme. Browser-specific issues can sometimes appear when a plugin is no longer maintained or fully compatible with newer browser versions.
As for alternative plugins, unfortunately we don’t have a specific recommendation that fully replicates the exact functionality of FSM. It may require testing a few actively maintained options to find the closest match for your needs.
We understand this may not be ideal, especially if it involves re-editing content, but at this point the limitation comes from the plugin side.
That said, your earlier suggestion has already been noted and shared with our development team as a potential feature improvement.
If anything else comes up, feel free to reach out.
Kind regards

Thank you for the update and for testing this without the plugin — that’s very helpful.
At the moment, there isn’t anything further we can apply from our side. Our development team already has this case on their board and is investigating the behavior, especially the difference between Firefox and Chrome.
As soon as we have any news or updates, we will reach out to you right away.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Kind regards

Thank you for the update.
That’s great news — and no worries at all. Browser updates can sometimes introduce temporary rendering issues, so it makes sense that the problem appeared after the Firefox update and was resolved once they released the newer version.
We appreciate you taking the time to follow up and confirm the cause.
If you need anything else in the future, feel free to reach out anytime.
Kind regards
