    <p class=”MsoNormal”>Hello,</p>
<p class=”MsoNormal”> I have a table of contents in my posts. I’ve assigned the color code 2A6F54 to each heading. When I hover over a heading, the color assigned to it appears. This worked fine last week on November 30, 2025. Today, I published another post, and it no longer works. I had to assign the color code to each individual heading in the table of contents, which means the hover effect no longer works, and the yellow-orange color no longer appears when I hover over it. WordPress.com believes this was caused by a Bard theme update. Is this correct? If so, how can I restore the tables of contents in over 300 posts to their previous state? If I change the color to green under Appearance > Customize > Colors > Accent, all links, including those on the homepage, appear green. This is not how it should work. Thank you.</p>
    Many Greetings Ulrike

    Hi Ulrike,

At first, thank you for choosing our theme and service.

To provide you with the most accurate assistance, could you please describe the issue you’re facing in more detail? Additionally, sharing a direct link to the page where the problem appears would be immensely helpful. If possible, providing screenshots of the issue will give us a clearer understanding and allow for more targeted support.

Once we have this information, we’ll be better equipped to identify the issue and provide a solution.

    Kind Regards

    Hello!

Thank you very much for contacting us and for describing your problem so clearly—your English is great, and we completely understand the issue with your table of contents styling! We apologize for the frustration and disruption this is causing to your posts.

We can certainly help you get the styling back to normal (Image B2).

The issue you described, where the colors suddenly changed and now look like Image B3, can often be triggered by an update or, more commonly, by a conflict with a **third-party plugin** that may have updated recently.

Please try the following steps to help us diagnose the issue:

    ### 1. Identify a Plugin Conflict

The first step is always to rule out a conflict with an external feature. Please:

    * **Deactivate all** third-party plugins on your website.

    * Check one of your posts (like the one you linked) to see if the table of contents styling returns to the correct green and yellow-orange hover state.

    * If the styling is fixed, reactivate your plugins one-by-one until the issue reappears. This will identify the conflicting plugin.

    ### 2. Provide Access for Inspection

If disabling the plugins does not immediately solve the issue, we will need to look at your site’s backend to investigate the specific CSS conflict that is overriding your custom color code (2A6F54).

To assist, we need to check your website from the back end. Please install this third-party plugin **“Temporary Login Without Password Plugin,”** which allows us to access your dashboard without sharing your personal login details.

To better understand how the plugin works, please watch the video guide below: [How to use Temporary Login Without Password Plugin](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMu0e78OpJo)

Please make sure to mark your reply with the temporary access details as private.

    ### 3. Sharing Screenshots

We appreciate you trying to send the screenshots! Since you cannot attach them to this email, the best way to share the images (B1, B2, and B3) is to upload them to a free image-sharing service (like Imgur or a cloud storage service like Dropbox or Google Drive) and then paste the public link to the images in your reply.

Once we have either the name of the conflicting plugin or temporary access, we can resolve this for you quickly.

    Kind Regards
