Sorry about the mess in the first post. I tried to edit it, but the edit didn’t take. Here’s what I wanted to say:

    Site: dev2.thehiddenmanna.org

I can’t get the header image to render at a size I want. Ashe Pro settings don’t work well, and some are ignored.

    Customizer Settings:

    – Top Bar is turned OFF.

    – Page Header Settings:

    1) Header type: Image

    2) Render Type: Background (At first- see below)

    3) Height must be set to 670 to show the whole height of the image in the customizer.

Loaded an image of size 1300×460 in the Media Library

Used the customizer to load it, uncropped into the Ashe Pro front page, which is a static page showing the latest post.

Using a screen ruler shows that the actual image height is 740px in the customizer page.

In the actual web page, the header is clipped to show the middle 330px of the image!

If I use the background image setting, the image is not rendered correctly at all browser window widths.

I stumbled on the fix, which is to set the image rendering to HTML Image (responsive Fix).

HOWEVER, this setting makes the image in the actual web page (live page) come out to 900px high, and this *cannot* be adjusted. The height setting has no effect. Even if I use an image that is of a smaller height, Ashe Pro will still stretch the picture to 900px height.

I’m trying to get an image of about 1300x450px on the live site. I can’t figure out how to do it.

I have found that if I use Ashe to put the site title over the image, I can’t position it where I want, and it doesn’t render at all sizes correctly, so I want to put it in the image I’m going to use. First, I want to get the image to come out at a size I like on my page, then I’ll add the text in the JPG file. But after spending hours on this, I’m at a loss.

I hope there is a simple thing I’m getting wrong.
