Hi
with the latest controversy around ACF and WP Engine I realized that I have ACF on my blog without actually needing it. Did some research and found that it’s part of Ashe Pro.
I didn’t find any option to uninstall it like other plugins so I wanted to ask what the dependencies are ? If I remove the folder from my folder, will Ashe Pro stop working ?
Hi Crincrit,
At first, thank you for choosing our theme and service.
Our support team is off from the office, we will respond as soon as we come back to the office.
Kind Regards
Hi Crincrit,
If you decide to remove the ACF codes from the Ashe theme, it will crash, but the part of the ACF functionality that is in the Ashe theme will not cause any problems if you decide to use the AFC plugin itself.
Kind Regards
So it won’t cause any security risks ? I’m just concerned about the warning on their website: https://www.advancedcustomfields.com since it’s part of the theme and not a separate plugin.
Hi Crinrict,
No, it won’t cause any damage as it’s secured in theme files and the theme is secured itself, please feel free to use it.
Kind regards
Thank you.
