Hi, about a month ago I’ve upgraded the theme on my blog from Ashe Free theme to the Pro version. After upgrading from Ashe Free to Ashe pro my site got really slowed down.
According to Google Page Speed Insights the speed on mobile devices dropped on average by 30 points (on the main page from ~91 to 61; on blog posts from 80 t0 45). On a Desktop version, the slowdown isn’t that noticeable.
I use the W3 Cache plugin (I’ve already cleared the cache), Elementor, Contact Forms 7, and images lazy load…
I was also wondering if an AMP plugin might help or it could “break the site”
Thanks for any help!

Hi Marty,
We checked your website with the google page speed insights for developers and it shows 93 rank which is a very good mark for the site speed, please see the screenshot.
We find out that you are using 2 caching plugins on the website at the same time, we recommend disabling one of them, it like have 2 antiviruses on PC, they will cause more issues than be helpful.
Kind Regards
Hi,
I’m aware of those plugins one I didn’t use for caching only for image optimization 🙂
I had problems with mobile speed… Do you think AMP Plugin might work?
Anyway, thanks for your help!
Hi,
Nick is here from dev team, top 2 most big issues you have with your site is hosting, please check this image
“Serve images in next-gen formats” & “Reduce server response times (TTFB)“
So you need to fix this hosting related issues. But you can also try AMP some cases it have really good results
Kind Regards,
Nick
Hi Nick,
thanks so much for everyone’s help. I never had a problem with this hosting provider however, I also noticed the problem with the server response time and wasn’t sure if it was connected with hosting.
I’ll try both – the AMP and also contacting the hosting provider.
Your support is the best, thanks!
