Hello everyone,
I installed the ashe free theme about 4 weeks ago to built up a website. This works quite well, but there are some minor issues which destroy the nice layout.
My post titles are quite long due to SEO optimization. They fit perfectly in the main frame and as post header, but when listed on the right sidebar they take up to tree lines. This looks horrible!
I don’t want any line breaks on the right sidebar. The protuding charaters or words should be displayed as ellipsis. Something like: “A brand new approach to data analysis” should be displayed as “A brand new approach (…)” on the right sidebar. I don’t care if the word is cropped, but it would look nicer if this is not the case.
It also would be okay, If I knew where to insert and to display an alternative title which is only valid for that sidebar. The other solution would be a subtitle which is displayed on the main frame and blog site, but I don’t know how to deal with it.
Hopelessly I haven’t found any solution on google or stackoverflow that works. As I already created a child theme, I’m open to solutions in CSS and/or PHP, but I need to know, where to copy-paste them.
Thank you in advance!
Hi Lila,
At first, thank you for your response and for choosing our theme.
I will redirect this topic to the developers and they will check for the possible solutions.
Kind Regards
Hi,
Please share your website URL and I will send you a custom CSS snippet which will fix the issue. Unfortunately, we can’t help you with alternative titles or subtitles because it requires custom coding.
Kind Regards
Hello Duke,
thanks for your reply. The website is not online yet, but I will come back to you asap.
