Hi,
I’ve migrated to Bard Pro from Attar, and I’m encountering a lot of issues, one of the main ones is that the patterns I had throughout the website are either not available anymore (and are shown as a blank block), disappeared completely, or have weird appearance. I have spent a considerable amount of time redoing many of them.
Initially, the buttons were not changing colours because they had been made with WordPress, not Bard, it seems, so I looked in the forums and online for custom CSS.
Then, when using WP editor, features like padding and margins were not available for any block. OK, no problem, I installed the Elementor plug-in as recommended, only now, when editing pages via Elementor, all my pattern blocks have disappeared from view in the editing mode, and when creating new buttons, they don’t pick the colours initially set via Appearance > Customise.
I’m having to find workarounds constantly, and the documentation is very basic, essentially for people who want a ‘copy & paste’ look of the demo theme.
The website I need help for is: https://spanishbruja.com/
Is there a proper, seamless way of sorting this out? If not, how can I get a refund?

At first, thank you for choosing our theme and service.
In order to assist we need to check your website from the back end, please install this 3rd party plugin “Temporary Login Without Password Plugin” which allows us to access your dashboard without sharing access details.

Thank you for reaching out and for providing the link to your website — we appreciate it.
We’ve reviewed your site carefully, and from what we can see, there are no major issues affecting the layout or functionality overall.
We would like to clarify a few important points that may explain the behavior you’re encountering:
Buttons created using WordPress default blocks have their own built-in styles and colors, independent of the theme.
Because of this, their appearance — including button colors — cannot be fully controlled via the theme customizer.
Similarly, buttons and elements created with Elementor also have their own design settings and style controls inside Elementor.
Their styling is not automatically linked to the theme customizer either.
Regarding editing:
If you start editing a page using Elementor, it’s recommended to continue managing the content within Elementor to maintain consistency.
If you mix WordPress block editor content and Elementor editor content on the same page, some blocks (like patterns or custom buttons) may not display or behave as expected because the two editors handle design and layout differently.
👉 Best practice:
If you prefer to continue using Elementor for design flexibility, we recommend recreating key sections (like buttons and patterns) inside Elementor itself.
If you prefer using the WordPress Block Editor, we suggest disabling Elementor for that specific page and editing it only with the Block Editor to avoid conflicts.
We completely understand that migrating from one theme (Attar) to another (Bard Pro) can involve some extra adjustments, and we’re here to support you through it.
Kind Regards
April 30, 2025 at 12:49 am #77027Hi,
Thanks, for explaining everything, I understand.
I do have a question, if I were to use only Bard, where can I find the padding for blocks and objects? When I tried to replicate one of the patterns with buttons, it didn’t look how I wanted it, but there’s no option to change the padding on the right-hand side with the WordPress editor. This would normally be present under the styles option. Is this only available in Elementor then?
I don’t know how to share an image here, but on the podcast page, the second series of buttons with a ‘pink’ background shows what I mean.
Can you advise, please?
Thanks again for your help!
Marta

May 1, 2025 at 12:35 am #77030Hi,
Sure, no worries.
As you can see, there’s no padding, the text “Listen on” and the buttons at the bottom are right against the line of the background colour. On the right, there should be an option to change the padding and the margins.
Funnily enough, this video about padding from WordPress shows a similar feature to what I want to achieve: https://learn.wordpress.org/lesson/dimensions-padding-margin-and-block-spacing/
It’s OK if I have to change the padding via Elementor, but then there are parts of the page and other blocks that stop working, so I basically cannot be going back and forth to be able to use different features…
I hope that makes sense! Let me know if you need more info 🙂
Thanks,
Marta
May 2, 2025 at 1:35 am #77032Hi Marta,
Thanks for the better explanations, the screenshot you shared shows that this page editor is WordPress’s default page editor and all the sections or content added here is not controlled by the theme options, the sections block has its own WordPress-provided options and customisation settings.

May 2, 2025 at 1:41 am #77033Hi,
I understand… but that doesn’t answer my question, so I ask again: how do I add padding to any block I add to a page with Bard Pro? Being able to add padding and margins is a basic feature, so I would like to know how to do this.
The add padding options were there in my previous theme, but not there anymore once I installed Bard Pro, so how do I do it?
Thanks
