the site title is no longer showing on homepage (does show on every other page)

(the tag line does show on homepage (and all other pages)

 

I tried unticking  ‘display site title & tagline’ – then publishing

then ticking it again and re-publishing. but hasn’t solved it.

 

It was working fine until today

ideas of how to fix??!!
