So I updated the polylang plugin today and now my search bar is not working anymore.

I’ve already raised a ticket with the plugin-creators: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/search-bar-missing-input-box/

As far as I can tell, I can’t find a search.php or a searchform.php in the theme folder.

The plugin creators asked me if you can share your search code.

If you click on the search, no input box is rendered.

The issue is resolved for now. Polylang still needs to fix it but another user provided me with a workaround.

Don’t know if the plugin creators still need more info though.
