Hi,

I’ve been working with an engineer with an issue of my post file being requested twice each time a post loads.  The engineer has investigated and determined it only happens when my theme is active but hasn’t been able to discover why my theme is requesting the same file twice.

I’ve been able to determine from my speed test history that this started happening after 4th April.  Was there an update to the theme?  Did something change?

Are you able to edit the theme so that it doesn’t request the same page twice please?

Thanks for a quick reply.

The issue was picked up during optimizing my site.  The main file for every post is being requested twice.  This started happening after 4th April.  The engineer supporting me has investigated the file being requested twice and has determined it is when my theme is active.  He hasn’t been able to determine why my theme is requesting the page to be loaded twice.

This happens for EVERY post.

Hi Shaz,

Nick is here from DEV team, after inspecting your site with google page insights and developers console I see that this is not theme related issue, on or demo site theme works fine

https://ashe-pro.wp-royal-themes.com/demo/natalis-bohemian-style/  (there is no double loading page)

and your engineer can check it. Probably due to the incorrect caching plugin or other similar settings are causing this issue on your site. So I recommend you recheck all these settings or hire some better engineers to figure out your issue.
