Hi i am having trouble with my featured images looking blurry. My pictures in my blogs look ok and i scale down the full image size. But i can not seem to stop the featured image looking blurry on my homepage. The file i upload is nearly 7mb but then the featured image size says 209kb. Why does it compress so much and is there a way of keeping some of the original quality?
thanks
Hi Darren,
At first, thank you for your response and for choosing our theme, and sorry for the late reply, we had holidays
Actually images should be optimized for web before upload theme to your website media repository, images like 7mb can cause the speed issue, it’s a huge size for 1 particular photo.
Maybe you have an issue with the thumbnails rebuild, please rebuild your images with the plugin Ajax Thumbnail Rebuild and check their quality after that, here is the video guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cfEaNKIH6E
If this does not help, in order to assist we need to check your website from the back end, please install this 3rd party plugin “Temporary Login Without Password Plugin” which allows us to access your dashboard without sharing access details.
To better understand how the plugin works, please watch the video guide below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMu0e78OpJo
