Hi, I see something really strange about that position: I mean ‘Copyright’ field in the theme settings. When I try to enter there the <i>target = “_ blank”</i> attribute to open a link in another window, it does not work.

For example, I insert this string:
credits
After saving, <i>target = “_ blank”</i> disappears.

Depends on what? And above all, how can I achieve the result?

Well Wako, I’ll try to be more detailed.
My site is https://www.larcenciel.it/

• I enter the WordPress control panel and go to Appearance > Customize.
• In ‘Page Footer’, I try to change the ‘Copyright’ field.
• I put the target=”_blank” attribute on one of the links that are in this field, like this:
  
• I press the ‘Publish’ button.
• After publishing, the attribute does not work (and refreshing the page, it disappears).

Do you have some advice? How do I open a link that is in the footer in another window?
