    I just installed Ashe Pro, but when use the live preview, I’m getting a message saying that the theme license is not active.  I’m guessing I have to activate the theme first, but I’d rather not do that — my blog is already online, so I need to get everything set up first in the live preview window before I activate the theme.

    You can activate the license key when you prefer.

    Hi Michael,

     

    Please navigate to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme license and enter your purchased key.

    Please login here after purchase https://users.freemius.com/login and you will be able to download the theme latest version, manage your profile, purchase, license key and etc.

    For the entrance use the email address you used during the purchase, password you can recover with the same email address.

    Right, that’s what I mean — the Dashboard > Appearance > Theme license option isn’t there if you haven’t activated the theme.  I need to activate the license without activating the theme.  Is that possible?

    If the theme is not uploaded and activated on the website first, it’s not possible to activate the license key.

    The theme is uploaded.  However, I want to set it up by clicking on “live preview” before I activate it, however, this isn’t possible without activating the license key first.  So I need to activate the license key before I activate the theme.  Which I guess isn’t possible?  Too bad!  The search for a good theme continues…

    You can activate and deactivate the license key at any time.
